Drew and Josh got together to watch State take on Cincinnati in the Pack’s first Nationally Televised game of the season, this is the real time observations. We’ll also try and keep track of the number of mentions of former Pack QB Russell Wilson, as we’re positive ESPN will remind us often of his exit to Wisconsin.
8:01 – Cincinnati is rocking the “blackout conditions”. Let’s hope State’s D doesn’t cause us to blackout by the end of this one.
8:08 – As the Pack takes the field there’s our first Russell Wilson mention.
8:14 – Perfect punt by Baumann. Terrible job downing the ball by the special teams. Obviously they aren’t special enough.
8:18 – A THREE AND OUT!!!!! WOW!!! Have we seen that all year!?
8:19 – Uh, a 76 yard punt for Cincinnati. Isn’t that cheating?
8:26 – Touchdown Cincinnati. State makes the mistake, Bearcats make them pay. 7-0.
8:30 – Oh good, if this game goes down hill, the WNBA Conference Finals are on!
8:31-8:40 – No time for View from the Couch. Busy Yelling at Mike Archer from the Couch.
8:41 – Touchdown Cincinnati. There’s the defense we expected to see tonight. Ugh. 14-0 Bearcats.
8:50 – First Qtr in the books. 14-0 Bearcats. In other news, the Indiana Fever leads the Atlanta Dream 65-62 with 5:00 to go in the 4th Qtr in the WNBA Eastern Conference Finals.
8:56 – If one more player goes down to injury, this post will have to be retitled “View from the Starting DT Position.”
8:58 – There’s Mike Archer’s “play 10 yards off the receiver on a 3rd and 4” that we all know and love.
9:00 – Touchdown Cincinnati. 21-0. Hold me.
9:06 – Jesse Palmer just mentioned Wisconsin. We’re counting that in the Russell Wilson counter.
9:09 – What’s the hardest play in baseball? The unassisted triple play. Thanks for that Holiday Inn.
9:14 – Friend of the site Justin just texted : “At least we are champions in the classroom and in the community”
9:17 – Perfect. TJ Graham fumbles on State’s 27. This just keeps getting better.
9:21 – David Amerson’s 4th interception of the year gives the Pack some hope. To get it to halftime without the score being any worse.
9:23 – TJ Graham turns a 7 yard pass from Glennon into a 87 yard Touchdown! 21-7 Cinci. We got them right where we want them.
9:25 – Just to keep you updated, the Fever beat the Dream 82-74. Good news for WWC is that the Minnesota Lynx is now taking on the Pheonix Mercury.
9:30 – Pack D holds Cincinnati to a Field Goal. That’s gotta be a small victory, right? 24-7 Bearcats.
9:36 – Reece Davis with the Russell Wilson mention. That’s 3 if you’re scoring at home.
9:40 – Halftime. Cincinnati 24 – State 7. We’re a Second Half team. We hope.
10:09 – FG Cincinnati. They lead 27-7. Let’s hope that 2nd half team arrives quickly.
10:15 – Russell Wilson counter reaches 4.
10:18-10:22 – Russell Wilson counter reaches 5, 6 then 7 then all the way to 11. Impressive. Think Vegas had the over/under at 8.
10:22 – Touchdown Cincinnati. Wonder how that WNBA game is going? 34-7 Bearcats.
10:26 – QB for Texas Tech was 40-44 last week? I’m not even sure Russell Wilson could accomplish that.
10:30 – Mike Glennon shows his escapability, getting out of the pocket to find TJ Graham for a 47 Yard TOUCHDOWN! 34-14.
10:34 – Walk-on Offensive Guard Jacob Kahut is in the game for the Pack. At defensive tackle. Ouch.
10:38 – Cincinnati answers back with another Touchdown. 41-14 Bearcats.
10:40 – There’s that WNBA Game update we were waiting for. Thanks for reading Wolfpack Water Cooler, ESPN.
10:43 – That’s the end of the 3rd Qtr. Not really much else to say.
10:50 – What’s the hardest play in baseball? The unassisted triple play. Thanks for that Holiday Inn. Again.
10:59 – FG Cincinnati. 44-14. Yep.
11:12 – Tyler Brosius warming up for the Pack. Looks like this one is just about over.
11:17 – Cincinnati takes a knee, the coaches meet at midfield, and this one is over. Mercifully. Final 44-14 Bearcats.
